Wendi Jo Medlin Powell

Wendi Jo Medlin Powell was born on March 6, 1965 in Clinton, IL to Harold William Medlin and Alice Faye Schwartz Medlin. She passed away on February 14, 2025 in Hayti, MO at the age of 59.

She graduated high school with the South Pemiscot Class of 1983.

She adored her grandchildren and loved to watch them play sports. Some of her favorite times were holidays and family get togethers. She loved animals, enjoyed shopping, was a world traveler and was very generous.

Wendi was united in marriage to Roger Allen Powell on December 17, 1982 in Steele, MO.

Survivors include, her husband, Roger Powell of Steele, two children, Amber Powers and Kelle of Steele and Josh Powell of Steele, two grandchildren, Carter Powers and Logan Powers, both of Steele, five siblings, William Medlin, Elaina Medlin, Jackie Booker and Daryl, Curt Medlin and Juanita, all of Steele, Greg Medlin of St. Louis, MO, her mother in law, Frances Powell of Steele, her sister in law, Kathy Willingham of Steele, her brother in law, Greg Powell and Lynn of Blytheville, AR, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services were held March 6, 1965 at Powell Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. Cecilia Green officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, MO. Pallbearers were Daryl Booker, Curt Medlin, William Medlin, Kelle Powers, Josh Powell, and Aaron Booker.
