Faydine E. Sutton

Faydine E. Sutton 93, of Steele MO passed away on Friday February 14, 2025, at the River Oaks Cark Center in Steele, MO. She was born in Lula MS on August 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Simuel and Laura (Cotton) Connor.

She was member of the Morning Star Baptist Church in Steele, MO. She moved to the bootheel area and married John Sutton on December 7, 1947, in Caruthersville, MO. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1991. She worked and managed a laundry mat for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister Josephine Rodgers and one brother Samuel Connor.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two half sisters Rebekah Owens of Hillside, Illinois and Alma Collier of Douglasville, GA.

A host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday February 27, 2025, at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Steele, at 12:00 pm with Pastor James Hill. Officiating. A visitation was held from 11-12 the same day. The Pallbearers were Leon Amerson, Frank Sanders, Charles Henderson, Robert Cooper, Eddie Armstrong, and James Fair.

Interment was at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele, MO.
