Michael Francis Shaw was born in Godair Township in New Madrid County, MO on November 2, 1950. He passed away on February 11, 2025, at West Tennessee Hospital in Dyersburg, TN. He was 74 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Catherine Shaw, wife: Sandra Jones Shaw, one sister: Martha Greene, one brother-in-law: Douglas Blurton, and one sister-in-law: Judy Shaw

Mike was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed genealogy and history. He also loved working on the river as a riverboat pilot.

He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory, his children, Kristin (Michael) Moore, Brandon (Kimberly) Shaw, Paul Michael Shaw, Kortni Shaw, and Juan (Missy) Johnson, 3 siblings, Betty Blurton, John Shaw, and Russell (Carolyn) Shaw, 7 grandchildren: Chelsea (PJ) Chandler, Madison (Mikey) Lack, Zack Shaw, Alyssa Pullam, Cody Taylor, Dakoda Taylor, and Kathryn Shaw, 7 great grandchildren, Zaeley Chandler, Summit Chandler, Wylder Chandler, Isabel Lack, Michael Lack, and 2 Great granddaughters on the way, brother-in-law, Tom Greene and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, MO. with Father Suresh Samala officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville, MO. Pallbearers were Paul Shaw, Brandon Shaw, Dakota Taylor, Mikey Lack, Zack Shaw, P.J. Chandler. Honorary Pallbearers were John Henry Buchanan and Ronnie Price.
