Beckie Ann (Lee) Whitehead, 68 of Steele, MO passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Birdie (Hutchison) Lee.

Beckie was born on December 23, 1956, in Gilbert, AZ. She married Jim Whitehead on May 15, 1972, at the Holly Grove Baptist Church, to this union 2 sons were born, Jimmy and Steven Whitehead. Beckie was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother putting their needs before her own. She also loved the children at South Pemiscot schools where she worked for many years. She enjoyed reading and watching old westerns.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Birdie, 1 sister Paulette Hastings, and 2 brothers R.L. Lee & Robert Mathis, 1 son Jimmy Whitehead and her great-granddaughter Jocelyn Jones.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Jim Whitehead of the home

5 Grandchildren: Brittany Nesbit and her husband Jaush of Paragould, AR, Cody Whitehead of Cape Girardeau, MO, Corey Whitehead of Steele, MO, Leslee Bomar of Carbondale, IL, and Jarred Bomar of Holland, MO

2 Great Grandchildren: Kaylee Jones, and Brittan Nesbit of Paragould, AR

Host of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, February 28, 2025, in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenny Lee officiating, with a visitation held on Thursday February 27, 2025, from 5-7 pm. Pallbearers were Trey Brooks, Jarred Bomar, Quincy and Kevin Allen, and Jacob and Hunter Long. The burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, MO.
