Allen Gene Taylor
Allen Gene Taylor was born in Marble Hill, MO on August 10, 1948. He passed away on January 16, 2025, in Caruthersville, Missouri. He was 76 years of age.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Mary Ellen Taylor, and his first wife: Brenda Slavings Taylor.
Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He honorably served in the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hayti where he served as a Deacon for many years and was the local Shelter Insurance Agent in Hayti for over 25 years. Allen also held a special place in his heart for the children at the Pemiscot County Special School District, where he served as a board member many years ago. His hobbies included woodworking, collecting sports memorabilia, collecting and tinkering with his antique cars, and being an avid gun collector. He was a big fan of the Ole Miss Rebels. He enjoyed watching NCIS on television and sharing jokes with friends.
He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory, wife, Genia Taylor of Hayti, his daughter, Sue Ellen Zellich of Fayetteville, AR, 2 grandchildren, Robert Allen and Anna Clay Zellich also of Fayetteville, AR and a host of church family and friends.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, MO with Bro. Mark Hoover officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, MO.
