Kendrick Battles
Kendrick was born January 27, 1992, in Hayti MO to Holly “Battles” Tipler and Roosevelt Hudson. He graduated from Hayti High School in 2011. He was a devoted CNA for many years. Kendrick was known for his contagious smile and didn’t mind displaying his beautiful teeth, followed by warm hugs and a kiss. He loved family and enjoyed singing and listening to music. Kendrick was very talented and never backed down from a challenge. Some of his best past times were running around with his grandmother Gloria, hanging out with his sister and cousins, and squabbling with his nieces and nephews. He was a beloved member of Divine Holiness Outreached Ministries. To know Kent was to love him!!
Kendrick leaves to cherish his mother Holly {Ricky} Tipler of Hayti MO, Roosevelt Hudson of Hayti MO, Seven sisters, Kairia Rowe of Hayti MO, Shanika Hudson of Kansas City MO, Jasmin Ellis of Caruthersville Mo, Brittany Ellis of Oceola AR, ~ Tamara Ellis of Hayti Mo, Ronika Hudson of Caruthersville MO, and Loyalty Holloway of South Fulton KY, Three Brothers, Kemron Rollings and Kedron Rollings of Columbia MO, Jamarion Pitts of Caruthersville MO, His grandmothers, Queenie Battles and Gloria Hudson of Hayti MO, his grandfather Roosevelt Jones of Caruthersville MO. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Also, his best friend Mellicent Flowers of Hayti MO.
Kendrick was proceeded in death by his grandfather Leon Davis and his Nephew Kayden Christopher Rowe.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at 12 noon at the Divine Holiness Outreach Ministries in Caruthersville, MO., with Pastor Jamie Jones officiating. Pallbearers were Kemron Rollings, Kedron Rollings, Rodney Anderson Jr., Roosevelt Hudson, Michael Winters, Ivory Winters, and Regonald Ford Jr.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
