Florence Ena Staggs

Florence Ena Staggs was born in Ridgely, TN on June 28, 1946. She passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2025, in Caruthersville, MO. She was 78 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ivy (Cayton) Parnell, husband Clifford Staggs, daughter Louise Staggs, three brothers, and one sister.

Florence was married to her beloved husband Clifford for 50 years until his passing on December 17, 2012. She became a minister in the early 1980s and pastored at the Church of God in Prophecy in Hayti, MO for many years. She enjoyed reading her Bible, watching Everybody Loves Raymond on television, and telling old stories while spending time with family and friends.

An adoring mother, grandmother, and more she leaves behind two sons, Michael (Kody Manley) Staggs of Kokomo, IN and Kevin (Cheryl) Staggs of Caruthersville, MO, daughter Lisa Staggs of Malden, MO, three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, MO. with Pastor Carl Hutchison officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, MO. Pallbearers were Michael Staggs, Kevin Staggs, Kody Manley, Bobby Harper, Scott Vowell, and Jacob Wimberly.
