Caruthersville police made multiple arrests from Jan. 18-24, including warrants for animal safety, resisting arrest, and assault. Suspects were detained and charges forwarded to prosecutors.

Jan. 18 - At 3:23 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving over the posted speed limit. On contacting the driver, Timothy Carr, officers recognized him as having an active warrant for animal and health safety with a $390 bond. He was taken to the police department where he posted the bond and was released.

Jan. 22 - At 5:25 p.m., officers arrested Stacey Littrell in the 900 Block of Henrietta Ave on an active warrant through the city for resisting arrest. Littrell was held at the Justice Center.

Jan. 22 - At 8:35 p.m, officers were called to the 200 Block of East 5th Street in reference to an assault. Two suspects fled the scene prior to the police’s arrival. After collection information from the victim, officers filed paperwork with the County Prosecutor for 1st degree assault and armed criminal action.

Jan. 23 - At 8:29 a.m., officers arrested Kevin Smith in the area of 7th Street and 18th Street on an active warrant through the city for no insurance. He was held at the Justice Center.

Jan. 23 - At 9:17 p.m., officers were called to the 500 Block of Truman Blvd in reference to an assault. Officers arrested a man who was held at the Justice Center. Charges were forwarded to the Prosecutor for 3rd degree assault.

Jan. 23 - At 11:52 p.m., officers arrested Halee Sanders in the 900 Block of Truman Blvd for active warrants through the City of Hayti. Sanders was held at the Justice Center.

Jan. 24 - At 12:38 a.m., officers arrested James Washington and Amber Green during a traffic stop at 13th Street and Ward Avenue. Washington had an active warrant through the County for operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license and Green had an active city warrant for failure to appear on charges of vicious animal. Both were held at the Justice Center.
