Over 630 students graduated from the University of Mississippi in December 2024, earning degrees across various disciplines. They are invited to participate in the 2025 Commencement ceremonies in May.

University of Mississippi Celebrates December 2024 Graduates

UNIVERSITY, MS (02/07/2025)-- More than 630 students graduated from the University of Mississippi in December 2024. Undergraduate and graduate candidates received degrees from the College of Liberal Arts, General Studies and schools of Law, Journalism and New Media, Engineering, Education, Business Administration, Applied Sciences and Patterson School of Accountancy.

Mary Young, of Caruthersville, MO, is one of the graduates. Young, who majored in Biological Science, received a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Liberal Arts.

Jackson McHaney, of Kennett, MO, is one of the graduates. McHaney, who majored in Marketing, received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the School of Business Administration.

“Congratulations to our December 2024 graduates who are distinguished by their dedication to academic success,” UM Chancellor Glenn Boyce said. “They accomplished so much during their years at the university. I applaud them and can’t wait to see all the ways they will continue building their legacies that began here.”

December 2024 graduates are invited to walk across the stage at the University of Mississippi 2025 Commencement exercises, which will be held May 7-10. Morning Convocation will be held Saturday, May 10 at 9 a.m. in the Grove.
